One poor decision on its own may not seem impactful, but they can add up over time. I found myself in a routine of not caring how I treated my body.
Long work days.
Very little physical activity.
Eating poorly.
Using alcohol as a way to relax.
Not caring at all about skincare. (I KNOW!!)
I had no energy. I gained weight. My clothes stopped fitting. I was embarrassed to see people, especially those that hadn’t seen me in person since before COVID. I refused to be in pictures, and forget about wearing a bathing suit.
Recognizing that it’s time to make a change can be hard. So here I am…again…trying to hit the reset button. Move more. Drink less. Eat better types of foods (and not living off snack bags between meetings).
To kickstart the reset, I’m on day two of a two day juice cleanse using Pressed Cleanse 2.

I’ve done juice cleanses before, but here are some of the new things I’ve experienced so far: 1) it’s the first time I’ve been hungry on a juice cleanse (which shows how far I let things go) and 2) it’s the first time I’ve actually liked drinking the juices (especially the green ones). Also, mid-afternoon on the first day, I felt energized and had a ton of clarity and motivation at work, which I hadn’t been expecting. Today I feel a little slower, less energized, but it’s also the Friday afternoon of a long week, so no judgment there.
So, it’s a start, and I’m hoping documenting my journey here will help keep me accountable. Onward and upward!
